Just throwing it back to when we celebrated @zyiawithmalee’s birthday! (And when I was cheating a little bit on the diet plan 🙊). We took her to @justaddchocolatelehi and it was a BLAST! We have been before and it is always on the short list of things we want to do. So so so so fun!!! We can’t wait to go back!

But for today, I’m eating my salad and dreaming of the dark chocolate strawberry truffle I made. Because goals y’all.

Feeling good after getting some good sleep 🛏.... I never used to believe that sleep was that important. I used to sleep 4 hours a night all through my masters program and prepping for competitions 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. That just leads to  stressing your adrenal glands with tons of coffee, and elevated cortisol levels. In the past few years I have been working on making it a priority. This means getting to bed on time, limiting your fast digesting carbs too late, and limiting your caffeine. How much does this matter??? If I get a good night of sleep after a week of being inconsistent, I will lose 1-2 pounds the next day. Yup. I’m serious. It also goes the other way if I don’t. Anyways, Hope you all are having a good Sunday and start to make sleep a priority for you too 😘😘 #sleepisgood #sundaythoughts #timetohitthegym

So...I was able to use my drawer mirror (that’s been hiding in my closet), put it on top of my nightstand and BOOM! ...an almost full length mirror! So this is BIG for me! “Exposing” my fat😬...the fat I like to hide under sweatshirts day in and out! I don’t have to go buy a goal outfit...I have plenty hardly used or never worn things in my closet! So just a few outfits I threw together..I know...the lighting is not the best (still working on that😉). So..here I am. 50 pounds over weight. It could be worse. So I am thankful that 50 is all I have to loose to achieve my goal weight. However, this is my struggle. To be extremely candid ...I lost 10 pounds. Circumstances in life are bogging me down, I become unfocused, and then I start back in my old habits. It’s a merry go round. Every time I have a little bit of success...I sabotage it. SO...My goals for the upcoming week: DRINK 90oz of water!! AND go to the gym at least 4 days/week. Life lesson? Use your circumstances in life (whether good or bad)as a motivator to stay on track. You have a life to live so go live the heck out of it! I thought a little about it, and I’m going to use monthly updates to document little growth milestones for baby, and health milestones for mommy.

But I’ll be honest - this post is gonna lack “Before” pictures of me 🙈 I’m just not ready to share how fluffy my body looks just yet. Believe it or not, I’ve gained 5kg since being 2 weeks postpartum and I’m up to weighing 75kg! 😳😅🙈 I WANT to say part of it is my massive boobs but in reality, breastfeeding and ultra-long nights (I’m only getting 2-3 hours of sleep at night right now 🙄😭) have made me STARVING. I have my pantries stocked with fruit, protein bars, and whole foods, but calories are calories and I haven’t been working out at all to compensate (and my milk supply is too low to justify the calories I’m eating 🙈)

So! Here’s the plan: I’m doing another #30dayfitnesschallenge like I did at the beginning of my 2nd trimester and a 30-day basic clean eating routine, and I’m going to take regular progress pictures to hold myself accountable to hopefully document my journey back to feeling my normal, confident self again 💙 I’m retaining quite a bit of extra weight on my hips and thighs right now, and my arms could use a major tune up! 😅

I hope to have some good progress pictures on March 1st for my 2-month update to share. 20-30 minutes of daily, meaningful activation should be achievable no matter how tired I am, and I KNOW it will pull me out of the funk I’m in. I’m at the gym now to kick off the occasion, soooo.... here we go! 🙌🏻👊🏻💪🏻

As for baby, his current life skills are:
- Overeating (just like momma 😅)
- Not sleeping (just like momma 😫)
- and Passing massive gas 😳 (just like.... his father. 😜)
