Update: I've been  doing Keto for 21weeks now!!! Down 42 lbs!!!! Yay me 👏👏 still have 18lbs to lose to get to my target weight&haven't lost or gained any weight in almost 2 weeks 🤨 I've plateaued...I'm not getting discouraged since I knew this would eventually happen.. I just have to switch it up now&definitely start working out 😣  been getting some good advice from plp who have been through the same thing...I appreciate everyone who's been supportive&encouraging to me!!! #gottakeepgoing #keto #ketogenicdiet #healthyeating #itsalifestylenotadiet #timetohitthegym

Here's a burnt cobbler I made with what's left of the fruits from the previous recipe. I'd tell you that it's my rendition of the currently trending burnt basque cheesecake - but, I'd be lying! 😂

Forgot to check and left it in the oven a little too long... The top is dry, but the fruity bottom somewhat saves the day by making everywhere else sufficiently moist! The recipe also turned out quite sweet, so maybe not all bad having burnt bits to counteract the sweetness (yes, a little desperate for a silver lining 😅) Bad news: not really something I can share with friends... Good news: I get to have it all myself! (...Wait, that may not be all that good... #timetohitthegym)

The first picture here is about 4 days after I decided to really make a change in my eating and probably 2 days before I seriously made a change. The first pic is Christmas Eve 2018. The second is a couple weeks before that. And then there is today (& a few days ago). It’s hard to explain how impossible this seemed ... how much I had resigned to never getting here. —

This past week I saw 190 lbs on the scale for the first time in I don’t know how long. Most importantly I feel great. —
It’s encouraging to see so many others on a similar journey. For me, it’s been a result of a complete change in how I eat. I will be starting an exercise regimen this week to lose the rest and build strength ... while continuing to eat the same way. As a matter of fact, it’s the way I will eat period. It’s not a diet for me. It’s a permanent change. I like to say, “my body fights to be fat.” So I have to know that moving forward. —
In about 7.5 mos, I’m down nearly 80 lbs with about 20 more to go. I’m grateful for the encouraging comments ... in person and on social media ... but mostly hope to be an encouragement to anyone struggling to get healthy or who was like me—feeling quite hopeless that it’s still possible. Occasionally my rest day turns into 3 months of “nope, not today” and then I find myself stalking myself to come across photos like these- and that’s when I finally realize what a bad idea those Oreos were 🥴🤦🏼‍♀️ ..BUT! That’s life. That’s a piece of my journey. That’s where I need to practice having grace with myself. So I’ll absolutely finish the fudge dipped mint Oreos in my fridge- no doubt there.. but I’m also promising myself right now that I’m going to take the necessary steps in order to regain my confidence and self-love; inside + out!! Went excellent, just dropped a few poles along the way 😈hehe 🤗D is gaining confidence but miscalculates a tad with those long legs of her 🖤 plus! #HumanError My position isn’t perfect yet so I can see how I need to improve my seat and balance so that she can progress onward! #TimeToHitTheGym Nonetheless, I just love and appreciate this horse for all her effort💕

(Honestly have not checked in about a month but I've been this weight for a while.)

👉🏻I know you’ve done the programs , the diets, the crazy exercises programs that make you miserable as hell.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉🏻Walking into the gym looking down at your phone feeling defeated as hell while looking at your friend online that just had three babies and  you say “wow she looks like that after three babes and I look like…this”.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉🏻I know you feel lost and are tired of giving up with lack of results.⁣⁣
⁣⁣ We tend to believe that if we just do it for 12 weeks and take the most drastic approach, that the weight will fall off and stay off.⁣⁣

Most of us learned that this is NOT the case (sad, I know).⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I hate to see you in a vicious cycle of putting in the work, getting some results only to gain the weight right back (no thank ya ma’am). ⁣⁣

It’s time to learn to be able to not restrict yourself and enjoy the plan your on while getting some serious results (oh yeaaa). ⁣⁣

✅Eat in a calorie deficit. ⁣
⁣
 It doesn’t matter how organic your food is or if you eat more salad than a rabbit, you have to eat in a calorie deficit to lose weight. ⁣⁣
⁣
✅You need to be maximizing your time I the gym! ⁣
⁣
There’s NO need to be in there for hours upon hours and be a slave to the cardio machines. My clients gym sessions never last longer than an hour. They train hard, follow their program through the app with the guided videos and instructions and maximize the HECK out of their time. They are following a strength training program that was SO carefully created to be the most bang for their buck, so they are getting badass results with minimal time spent in the gym. ⁣⁣

✅You need to commit to a plan that allows you to enjoy the process.  My programs are always something that my clients know they could keep up for the rest of their life and they actually enjoy (booyaaaa baby).⁣

Stupid really given I am from West London where I can pretty much buy West Indian food any day of the week. It may not be the prettiest esp when served on polystyrene trays but there’s some serious flavour in these dishes of #ackeeandsaltfish #goatcurry (i had this twice 😋) #riceandpeas. And not forgetting the copious amounts of Red Stripe and the backyard rum cocktails 🤨- but that’s all part of the experience 😬.
