What if we planted more Palm trees in public places in the U.K. (climate permitting - and the climate sadly does seem to be permitting atm). I wonder if they would relax and de-stress peeps more than any other tree type? For me, as soon as I see the familiar silhouette, the pineapple-like trunk and splayed fronds my body relaxes and I smile. Magic occurs. Don’t get me wrong - I LOVE the British oak, but you know, I’m kinda having a covert LDR with the Palms. Maybe the silhouette is enough and we could use recycled materials and put fake palm trees all over prisons, schools and around parliament? Anyways, just a thought. Happy Wednesday xx

What we read, eat, watch, do - all affects us and the way we think. If you watch a violent thriller, you are more likely to have violent thoughts... although we can not control our thoughts, we can choose what we feed our mind and we can choose what to engage in 🌿⠀

I have become more sensitive over the years, finding a lot of TV programmes and news feeds generally disturbing and upsetting. However, when I choose to watch something that I don’t class as wholesome food for the brain (but appeasing others) when those moments arise that I find upsetting etc, I practice connecting with breath and feeling my feet on the floor. This stops the disruptive chemicals of cortisol and adrenaline being released and my mind remembers I’m actually sat on the sofa and not being dismembered by a gladiator! 😅 ⠀
