Don't get me wrong, I'm ALL ABOUT finding fitness that you love.  I love rows and working my back muscles.  I love gaining strength.  I love a strong plank.  For some reason this combination is still very challenging to me, and I remember a time when I could hardly do ONE at all with a 5 lb weight.  This is a movement I will conquer.  If you're crunched for time, the RR is a great one to include in a quick 30 minute full body session!⁠

Strengthens: Back, shoulders, core, triceps and biceps (and chest if adding push-up)⁠
.⁠
🔸Start in a plank with feet a bit wider than normal (this will be less challenging than a narrow stance and as your plank gets stronger, bring your feet closer together)⁠
🔸Engage your lower core (and glutes/Hamstrings - your legs are very active here!) before you begin lifting one weight, trying not to let your hips rock ⁠
🔸Imagine there's a cup of hot coffee on your lower back and you don't want it to spill ☕⁠ (or wine...🍷)
🔸Make sure you're not just bending your elbow, but actively engaging your back to lift that weight off the floor⁠, hold for 1 sec at the top⁠
🔸Return to plank with control, not slamming your weight down⁠
🔸Add a push-up (optional)⁠
🔸Repeat on the other side⁠

8-12 Reps each side⁠
3 or 4 sets⁠

I love doing HIIT, it keeps me entertained and focused during workouts because its fast paced and you're doing different thing every 30-45 seconds. I love to push myself during workouts, the more I sweat the better I feel about the workout because then I know it was a good HIIT workout and I pushed myself. If you're not sweating you're not working hard enough ! Let's get it, back in the gym tomorrow morning!! 🏋🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️ .

What an amazing little trip. In 2018 I asked my sister if she’d want to hike this with me if I won a permit. Month after month I kept trying until I got a different email. June 1st I found out we won the lottery for September 15th!! I was ecstatic and felt extremely fortunate. I had heard of people trying for 3 years! And today the Ranger at The Wave (yes, someone hikes it every day to make sure you have a permit. It’s a $10,000 fine if you don’t) told us he knew someone who tried for 10 years!  A couple we met out there said their friends tried for 10 years as well. 😧 When you apply you have less than a 1% chance of winning a permit. It was seriously a once in a lifetime opportunity & super happy I got to share it with my sister. Absolutely breathtaking!! #thewavearizona #bucketlist

As usual, a little benching and some dumbbell work to close out the weekend. Still struggling to get more reps at 225 though I do better during the week with my trainer. I think I need to somehow activate my lats better when working out at home prior to the lifting. Tomorrow is physical therapy and cardio!

We’ve learned what my major stressors are @themegatron_ and I - and work has been one - causing my body to hit a certain level of inflammation by end of week. I can be better at controlling these triggers- and will be implementing more @morphogenben calm and prioritizing my sleep- I’ve never been one to sleep. -
This is me- and we are growing. My body is slowly starting to distribute my weight gain more evenly. I’m no longer food fixated and my hunger is still high (this body has always loved food) but I have zero cravings- food is fuel and I feel cognitively better- more focused - less ADHD and signs of my cycle is near are coming to play. -
I’m going to get blood work done relatively soon- I’m a calculated human and science is cool- and honestly this season with @themegatron_ has been challenging but rewarding. To be under someone of his caliber and knowingly know he only takes individuals with a certain mindset and work ethic is a honor that I have the luxury to be on this team of his- a team of greats. -
I’m growing not only mentally - physically and in my career. -
I give a lot of credit to this to my circle - and you all know who you are.

Treat your workouts like meetings- schedule them every Sunday.  DON’T cancel on yourself 🙌🏼 If you’re having trouble meeting your goals, you may need to have a seat and take a good hard luck at what you’re prioritizing- and how. 
Yes, you’ve got to work, clean, hang with the kids, spend time with your significant other... but what about YOU?  When you feel your best, you can give your best in all places (work, home)

You need time for YOU.  3-4 hours a week of YOU time is not a lot.  It may seem tough to navigate initially, but you’ve got to get into a routine.  You CAN find time.  You CAN make arrangements.

We smoked some bacon wrapped breasts and whipped up some gluten free homemade macaroni & cheese, cucumber, tomato, mozzarella salad and cauliflower “potato” salad.  This was some serious food for the soul! This meal was made with love and it sure tasted like it! Happy Sunday!
