ISFiT and why is it so special?
International students festival in Trondheim is definitely live changing event (or at least, your world picture will be never the same).
12 days of hard discussions, lectures, concerts and of course, lots of fun. This year the main topic was Migration and since I'm
working with refugees now, it was very inspirational and crucial for me to attend the festival.
It takes place every 2 years and you have to go on the website @isfit19
, write essay about your motivation and interest in the main topic, choose 3 workshops (out of 20) and write essay about participation in this specific issue. So everyone can find smth what is interested him/her the most (e. G. Politics, Nature, Food, Religion, Model UN, Art).
If you are selected, the only thing you should pay for is flight ticket (they have some very limited amount of scholarships tho). The best part - you live with host family, whether it's
Norwegian couple or student's
dorm, but you'll
definitely feel Norwegian hospitality, find some local friends and try traditional food.
Among workshop activities, there will be a ski day ⛷️(probably first time in your life!), Walk of peace with torches 🔥, silent night meditation in the Cathedral🙏🏻 and lots of thematic parties and concerts.
Why is it important to participate? Just imagine to gather people from all continents, with different religions, political views, races, sexual orientations in one room, but they are tolerant to each other, hug, open their hearts and tell personal stories and eventually become family without any barriers between. Isn't
it a miracle? ❤️✨
You understand that it's
you who responsible for making walls and prejudice towards other ppl than your surrounding.
If you still have any questions, will be happy to answer. Fill free to ask 🤗
