When I think of Thanksgiving, my mind goes to the conversations we have at the dinner table.
.
This Thanksgiving, before you tell the people on your table how much you know, be sure to first let them know how much you care about them and how thankful you are to have them in your life. .
Here are few tips to show you care:
✔️Pay attention to people's needs
✔️Affirm people. A kind word goes a long way
✔️Listen to understand not just to respond
.
I pray for grace to practice this as well.
.
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend !!! I am thankful for you ❤️ Stay safe

Years before I got pregnant at 14, I was drawn to this song taken from Jeremiah 29:11. Lyrics - "I Know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you declares the Lord. Though rising tides and storms may rage yet God holds the future in his hands."
.
At that time, when I was drowning in shame it didn't seem like God had a plan.
.
Today, I see his plans unfolding and all I can say is "Yes, Lord! I will stand on all your promises and I will see them come to pass in my life." .
How about you?

Some of us who have had traumatic experiences got into relationships with the intention that our partners will make us happy complete us or meet our needs. Is that really the purpose of a relationship?

Every form of relationship which begins with this mindset often leads to dependency.  Dependency may have been your goal but I find that it takes away the piece of unconditional love and personal responsibility from the relationship. Rather it sounds like this:

I am with you as long as you fit in the missing part of my broken puzzle.

I am with you as long as you meet my needs and keep on doing the things that make me happy.

What happens when expectations fall through the cracks?

We can avoid whatever answer you came up with by turning our purpose around from what we can get to what we can give.

You may have had a rough time in the past but you are still a whole person who just needs to get in touch with the blurred parts of you. You are enough and complete.

A daily practice of loving God, loving yourself and loving others will bring to your awareness the riches within you. It will diminish the mindset of lack and highlight your abundance.

You have to take responsibility for your emotional needs and wellbeing. It is your job to make you happy. You might choose to invest some of your happiness in someone else but it is not your responsibility to make them happy either.

A woman empowering women
.
Laura Tinzoh is a Cameroonian based in Germany who started the initiative of a women’s international summit, bringing together women from all walks of life, annually, to address their challenges and map a way forward.

Her passion for empowering women was ignited after she left her job to be a stay-at-home mom, during which she decided to nurture and pursue her talents. Women from different corners of the world now join her each year to discuss common concerns peculiar to their kind, in a bid to grow from wherever they are to whoever they wish to become.

Besides having authored up to four books, she produces a tri-weekly podcast, “Practical Theology”, gives [motivational] talks including marriage counseling, organizes conferences to help other women realize their full potentials and recently started a TV show, “Becoming the Author”. She says she draws inspiration to help other women, from her own experiences. “As a woman I’ve also gone through lots of challenges and I want to encourage women to grow, develop their talents and know that in every disappointment there can always be a blessing”. The Women’s Empowerment Summit was birthed in 2017, aimed at bringing together women from different countries, backgrounds and cultures each year to share their experiences and uplift each other. The second edition held in Cologne, Germany in 2018, gathering over 50 women from Africa, Europe, Asia and America. The 2019 edition of the Summit is scheduled for September 28, in Cologne.

When the women come together topics such as work life balance is top priority, how to relate to other women and men in their lives in order to rise above their challenges, pursuing their dreams while running a home and raising kids  For Tickets and Registration visit http://www.latinzoh.com/registration/ - 2019 OFFICIAL VIDEO "STRONGER THAN EVER"

My heart always skips a beat when my kids have an aha-moment because it is always followed by a series of questions or if I am lucky, they will ask one hard question. I mean, I love their questions but oftentimes I don’t have an answer for them. Well, this time around I had an answer for this question.

Last week, my six-year-old daughter and me just ended a conversation when she looked up to me and asked, “mommy! Why is it that when I stopped talking to you, I was still talking inside me?” It dawned on me that my little girl has come to the realization that there is an inner conversation which never stops even when you are alone. In fact, the voices within are loudest in moments of solitude. This gave me the opportunity to teach her the following lessons about the mind-body-spirit connection.

1. The voices within us could be the voice of God, the voice of the enemy or our own voice. Before we go further, I want you to always remember this “Don’t believe everything the voice within says.” 2. The words spoken to our spirit’s influence our minds. Words uploaded to your spirit, influences your thinking, emotions, attitude, memories, choices and subsequently you body through your behaviors. If the enemy plants a wrong thought in one area of your life, it distorts your entire life unless you renew your mind in that area.
3. Let God’s word take prominence in all you do. Not only will it purify your own thoughts and defeat the thoughts of the enemy, it will refine your spirit, mind and body for the best. The result will be evident in your transformed life. “There is a saying that, “You cannot keep birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest on your head.”” — Unknown

You are a participant, not an observer in your own story. Choose to act on inner conversations which empower you then discard the rest.
I will love to hear from you about your knowledge and experience with the mind-body-spirit Connection. Leave a comment below or send direct message.

It is said that “God loves you just the way you are but he loves you way too much to let you stay that way.” Besides, isn’t the personal growth hype all about change?

Personal growth involves understanding yourself (it’s not as easy as it sounds, I know that), and constantly changing due to the knowledge you acquire and implement.

Just the thought of change can be overwhelming so let’s dig deeper to find out why.👉🏽https://www.manyiebot.com/new-blog/this-is-why-you-havent-changed
